We are Moving Our Domain from formsync.app to formsync.sudhucodes.com

Today, we are announcing an important infrastructure update: FormSync is migrating its primary domain and API infrastructure from formsync.app to formsync.sudhucodes.com and api.formsync.app to api.formsync.sudhucodes.com.

If you are currently using FormSync to handle form submissions or query form APIs on your websites or applications, don't worry — all existing forms and API requests will continue to work seamlessly with zero downtime.

Here is an overview of why we are making this change, what it means for your setup, and the recommended steps for your projects.

Why We're Moving

FormSync started as an independent project and has grown into a core part of the developer tooling ecosystem built under sudhucodes.com.

By bringing FormSync under the unified sudhucodes.com namespace:

  • Unified Developer Ecosystem: Consolidates our suite of developer tools, documentation, and services under a cohesive domain architecture.
  • Improved Reliability & Infrastructure: Simplifies SSL certificate lifecycles, DNS routing, and edge caching pipelines across both web and API subdomains.
  • Long-term Sustainability: Ensures dedicated long-term maintenance and continuous feature delivery without fractured domain management.

What’s Changing?

Here is what is transitioning to the new domain:

1. Main Website & Web Dashboard

The primary landing page, documentation, and web dashboard are now accessible directly at: 👉 https://formsync.sudhucodes.com

2. Dedicated API Domain

Our API hostname is moving:

  • Previous API Domain: https://api.formsync.app
  • New API Domain: https://api.formsync.sudhucodes.com

If you query FormSync APIs or send backend submissions directly to the API endpoint, please update your base URL to https://api.formsync.sudhucodes.com.

3. Form Submission Endpoints

New forms can point directly to the updated submission endpoints:

text
https://formsync.sudhucodes.com/api/f/[YOUR_FORM_ID] # or via API subdomain: https://api.formsync.sudhucodes.com/v1/f/[YOUR_FORM_ID]

What Happens to Existing Forms & API Calls?

We know how critical form backends and APIs are for live websites. You cannot afford missed leads or broken contact forms.

Here is what you need to know:

  • Automatic HTTP Redirects (307/308): We have configured redirects on formsync.app and api.formsync.app. Any request or submission sent to https://formsync.app or https://api.formsync.app will be automatically forwarded to formsync.sudhucodes.com and api.formsync.sudhucodes.com while preserving HTTP request methods, POST bodies, and headers.
  • Zero Data Loss: All existing forms, submissions, spam settings, integrations, and webhooks remain completely intact.
  • Active User Sessions & Keys: Your account data, login credentials, and existing API keys are fully preserved.

While backwards-compatible redirects are in place, we strongly recommend updating your form endpoints and API configurations to eliminate redirect latency.

1. HTML Form Integration

Update the action attribute in your HTML forms:

html
<!-- Before --> <form action="https://formsync.app/api/f/YOUR_FORM_ID" method="POST"> <input type="text" name="name" required /> <input type="email" name="email" required /> <button type="submit">Submit</button> </form> <!-- Recommended (New) --> <form action="https://formsync.sudhucodes.com/api/f/YOUR_FORM_ID" method="POST"> <input type="text" name="name" required /> <input type="email" name="email" required /> <button type="submit">Submit</button> </form>

2. JavaScript / React Fetch Requests

If you submit forms or communicate with the API using fetch or Axios:

ts
// Update form endpoint: const response = await fetch("https://formsync.sudhucodes.com/api/f/YOUR_FORM_ID", { method: "POST", headers: { "Content-Type": "application/json", "Accept": "application/json" }, body: JSON.stringify(formData) }); // Update API calls (change api.formsync.app -> api.formsync.sudhucodes.com): const apiResponse = await fetch("https://api.formsync.sudhucodes.com/v1/forms", { headers: { "Authorization": `Bearer ${API_KEY}` } });

3. cURL & Backend Integrations

bash
# Update API Base URL: curl -X GET "https://api.formsync.sudhucodes.com/v1/forms" \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Summary Checklist

  • Web dashboard is live at formsync.sudhucodes.com
  • API is live at api.formsync.sudhucodes.com
  • Automated redirects active for all formsync.app and api.formsync.app endpoints
  • Update form action URLs in your production code to https://formsync.sudhucodes.com/api/f/...
  • Update API base URLs from https://api.formsync.app to https://api.formsync.sudhucodes.com
